Starting Equipment

During creation do not worry too much about price while outfitting your investigator with typical items that seem reasonable for their income level, occupation, and background. Although it is common for an investigator to own a weapon it is unlikely they will carry it in public. While a Police Officer carries a handgun or baton on duty, the neighborhood Priest will be thrown in jail if he begins waving a rapier around the crowded sidewalk. However, as suspicion and fear increase, an investigator may very well conceal a knife or loaded pistol in his jacket at all times.

However some occupations should have equipment that go with their jobs.
